Pope Francis has said that Jesuits always look toward the horizon with Christ at the center, which "pushes the Society to be searching, creative, and generous."
This year, the Society of Jesus in the United States welcomes 19 new priests to work creatively and generously in the vineyard of the Lord.
In the Midwest, the following five Jesuits were ordained on June 7, 2014, at Church of the Gesu in Milwaukee by the Most Reverend Richard Sklba, DD, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Milwaukee: (in order of cover photo) Christopher P. Johnson, Eric M. Sundrup, John F. Shea, Nathan C. Wendt, and Paul J. Shelton.
We invite you to celebrate our new Jesuit priests by viewing highlights of their ordination Mass (below) and reading more about them by clicking their names above.
