Fr. Patrick Conroy, SJ, chaplain of the US House of Representatives

I have the right to worship as a Catholic and invite people to join me. There is no chapel space in the Capital building, and there shouldn’t be. But, when I am serving as chaplain of the US House of Representatives, I am surrendering my constitutional right to pray my way because I am in service to the people for whom I am serving.

Jesuit Alumni and Friends of Chicago Winter Luncheon Featured Fr. Patrick Conroy, SJ
Over 130 Jesuit alums were in attendance to hear Fr. Patrick
Conroy, SJ, chaplain for the US House of Representatives, on December 8, 2014
at the Union League Club of Chicago.
Fr. Conroy is a Jesuit from the Oregon Province
of the Society of Jesus. Prior to serving as chaplain, he spent many years as
chaplain and teaching in Jesuit schools including Georgetown University,
Seattle University, and Jesuit High School in Portland.
