Describe your current role — what do you do each day?

I am currently on the vocation team and act as the vocation director for the states of Michigan, Ohio, southern Indiana and Kentucky. In this role I help men discern if the Society of Jesus is the right fit for them, and if so, I handle their application.

What is the most interesting thing about your vocation?

It is a great honor to follow the Lord as St. Ignatius did, to be part of something greater than just myself. I love the history of my order, as well as the present and future. The Society of Jesus has sent me to some wonderful places, and as a Jesuit I have really seen the world ... and been able to see the face of Christ in the people.

What do you love most about being a brother?

The simple title of "brother" sets up the relationship I hope to have with others. I see Jesus very much as a brother and love having that same relationship with others.
